Oh frig Jackson is so right to bring up admonishment within the church. From personal experience I can say that when, within the body, we do not have the courage to call each other out on sin, there's a very individualistic pride that takes root in everyone. The end result is that when someone adopts a lifestyle which necessitates church discipline initiated by church leadership, the person being disciplined cannot accept it and ends up leaving the church. I definitely relate to Tanner's story about recoiling to being admonished. Usually that's the initial reaction, but the fact that he was brought to repentance shows the importance of this practice. Really important discussion that I'm glad you guys brought up. I love this podcast so much.
